Must be a good feeling to do what you love. Providing for your family, working hard, living the good life. I used to know what that was like until I came home from Iraq the 2nd time. Days like today which are common make me question if I even belong in the country I kicked in doors for. Good thing about MMA is you never see your buddy's boots, weapon & dog tags sittin there while somebody plays Taps. When yall leave the cage somebody is there supporting you. When we leave the warzone, they pump us full of meds to suppress the memories & throw us back into society where we are lost & grow distant from everyone we loved. But what happens when you wake up? No more pills, no more suppression. We come back, with a STRONG Desire to be better than what anybody says we are. Does the hundred of homes I've raided or the thousands of rounds i've shot from my M-16A4 count for anything? Its not a colored belt you can wear that for sure. I know its hard work being a Professional MMA Athlete & I respect everyone who leaves it in the cage. I just want to know how I can get a chance to prove I have the Heart, Courage, Talent & Desire to be in that cage with you guys. I know your a busy man Cerrone & I've been a fan of yours for a long time, but I dont have time to waste brother. I need MMA just as much as you or any man who ever stepped foot in the octagon. Best of luck to the Tapout House & Support the Troops! POW-MIA

Thank you For Showing Show Much heart and it was an honor to see you fight..
Cowboy - you should make a site for the people living and training with you to leave posts so we can see what they experience and learn while they are there. I think it would be pretty interesting, I always wonder if they can keep up with your lifestyle and if the experience drives them to continue in MMA or quit.
Ps. You are still my favorite fighter even though you made me pay $50 to see you fight for a little over a minute! To make it up to me Please get your ass to Portland Oregon...bring Varner so we can watch you kick the shit out of him for 5 rounds!
There's a hundred years of history and a hundred before that All gathered in the thinkin' Goin' on beneath this hat. The cold flame burns within him 'Til his skin's as cold as ice And the dues he paid to get here Are worth every sacrifice. All the miles spend sleepy drivin' All the money down the drain, All the 'if I's' and 'nearly's,' All the bandages and pain, All the female tears left dryin', All the fever and the fight Are just a small down payment On the fight he makes tonight. It's guts and love and glory, One mortal's chance at fame. His legacy is fighting And cowboy is his name.
